I left a tile on my lawn for a week and its brown underneath

Hi folks,

I was doing some repair work on a slate tile walkway and left a few tiles sitting on the lawn for about a week. When I lifted them, the grass below was slightly brown, and a week later it seems browner still. How do I correct this sad situation?

Well when you cover and it doesn't allow sun, it will die. If its Bermuda or zoysia it should fill back in. If not, you will probably need to reseed.
