If you have irrigation, and upcoming temps look below like 85 you should be fine. When hot, I spray water based chems and not anime (petro) based.

Can youi spot spray instead of gran?

I have both. I was thinking to be safe, spot spraying now and then using the granular in the fall after temps drop to a lower temp.

I'm not a big fan of the products that are a combination of weed killer and fertilizer. The reason is that you can get better results by applying a fertilizer, waiting a week so the weeds are growing really well, then hit them with a weed killer. That's more effective than doing both at the same time.

Having said that, I don't think I'd be fertilizing in PA now until the fall. Fertilizing a cool season grass in the summer causes top growth when the grass should be conserving its resources. Depending on the temperature, applying weed killer when it's too hot can damage the grass as well as the weeds (the weedkiller should tell somewhere on the package how hot is too hot).
