Weed Id please

I planted a section of the lawn with black beauty last year. And in addition to grass, I got a lot of this weed. I had never had this particular weed before. So I am guessing the bag of black beauty bought it. What is this weed? I thought it is some kind of thistle, but could not match it up with any photos of what I found on google images. And once we id it, what to use to kill it

hmm, I thought this would be one of the standard weeds that all the folks know about .. So now I have a photo of individual weed plant .. What kind of weed is this and how do I control it?
