A Good Weed Eater

Can anyone, please, advise me on a good weed eater? I bought and returned four Ryobis at Home Depot, and, throughout this purchase and return cycle, finally found one that worked. Well, I should say it did work. I used this weed eater once and that was it. It died. This is no help to me or my garden. My goal is to find a working cordless, touch start weed eater, as I do not have the upper body strength to pull a chord to start a weed eater. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Spend the money for a high end unit like the Echo or Still I paid almost $400.00 for mine in 2001 and its still running like new.
Of course there are lemons so buy it and use it while its under warranty if you have any problems take it back.

Spend a little more to buy a good unit once. I've learned this the hard way many times in life. I bought a Stihl FS 45 for $139 and it's perfect for everything I need to do.

If you're not clearing forests it will be all you ever need.

So obviously he or she is looking for a battery operated weed eater. Black and Decker has a unit that costs about $100.00 but comes with two batteries. Each battery is good for about 15 minutes of trimming.

I have the B&D cordless trimmer and love it. It has an automatic feeder. It is not a heavy duty trimmer but does my whole yard including around the chain link fence on one battery charge.

I appreciate your input. This is a big help. It gives me a good starting base and direction.
