Had a very wet spring and it's finally been over 70 degrees three days in a row. I have a few spots that have reddish-brown grass blades. Almost like someone spray painted them. Anyone that can help me with what this is? Do I need to treat this or will it go away? If so, with what? |
Here is a link that might be useful: lawn

| It is likely a harmless, but ugly, disease called red thread. Check this website for information about both Rust and Red Thread. There is no treatment other than proper care (infrequent watering, regular mowing, and fertilizer). If you have not fertilized yet this year, NOW is the time. The only problem with these diseases is they coat the blades which block the sunlight from the grass and inhibit photosynthesis. Otherwise they are relatively harmless. |
