| Crossed my fingers and overseeded this Spring. Despite the early warm temperatures, we had a wetter and cooler than normal Spring that stayed cool long into May. This really helped the new seed establish itself, and my lawn hasn't looked this good in years. I also finally wised up and bought a quality water timer, which also helped considerably, as I wasn't watering in the heat of the day any more.
Now we've entered our typical Summer period, with 95+ degree temps with little or no rain for weeks on end, and the Fescue lawn is starting to suffer serious stress. Is it not getting enough water to compensate for the heat, or is it just too hot for the Fescue to thrive? |
