That is a fungal disease. How often do you water and how long when you do? This time of year you should be watering about once per week and about an inch each time.

You really jumped the gun on seeding bermuda. You would have been better off waiting until now. You get better germination when you do it in warm soil.

Excellent pictures by the way. Is the grass always that shady or was that a cloudy day? If it is always that shady, the bermuda will thin out.

I have cut way back on watering, but I was watering in the mornings for about 5 minutes at 7, 10, 1, 3 and 5 because I overseeded. It is always sunny in the backyard, I took those photos right before the sun went down.

Guess I should get a Fungicide and treat the yard then...

I applied to fungicide today and will fertilize in a few days because I think it needs it.
