How to get rid of this type of grass.

I need to figure out a way to get rid if this grass. It's a broad leaf grass and it's light green color. Does really well in hot and dry conditions. Always grows faster than my other grass. I hope there is way to get rid of it without destroying my other grass.

The first step would be to identify it. From your description it doesn't sound like it's poa triv, or nutsedge, but there are many grassy weeds it could be. The problem with grassy weeds is there are very few options to kill them without harming your existing turf. Tenacity herbicide might be worth a try, but again, identification is the key to eradication. Here is a pretty good grassy weed identifier:

When you pull it out is there a "nut" at the bottom? If not then nutsedge can be eliminated.

I need a better picture. It could be nutsedge.
Also when you pull nutsedge out you will never see the nut. The nut stays in the ground,
When you pull nutsedge the nut stays in the ground and it laughs at you and grows again.
Anyway, please take a close picture of it for us.
