Full StoryI have a very large back portion of yard adjacent to an open rod iron fence; behind the fence is greenbelt with every weed variety under the sun. My area is windy so I get numerous seedlings; hence, i have had a rather large weed problem just in this area. Before mowing I hand pull as many weeds as my back will allow. Other than the weeds, the lawn looked pretty good. BTW, this is a new lawn which was laid in late October of this past year. To combat the weeds I laid a heavy dose of Scott's Weed and Feed. Apparently, too heavy. From what I read in various other forums I shocked certain areas of the lawn into going dormant. I have a couple of large patches 10 by 15 feet that have gone straw colored. Doesn't look dark or grey so I don't think it dead. Bottom line, how do I fix this problem.
