Hey guys I work here in florida for a pest control/fert company, and I've stumbled across a few of our lawns that have been developing some weird looking issues. I have uploaded a picture of whats going on, and im gonna try to get some more to add to the post. We fertilized this yard around late march with some lesco 20-0-10 slow release i believe it was. Im just trying to figure out whats happening, I'm not sure if it could be fungus related, or due to compaction, or maybe ph or something i'm not considering. Any help would be appreciated! thanks.

Heres another picture. I forgot to check for chinch bugs also, but it seems like this has been happening since before chinch bug season.

Another possibility: Get real close to the brown blades and look for discolored spots that look like they were old water drops that dried up. That would indicate a fungal disease. Sand is impossible to compact. Do you live in a place in FL that does not have a sand bed to plant on? It is also unlikely the pH would vary from location to location within a yard. Usually the same chemicals have been applied to entire lawns all at once. What was the reasoning for applying the Lesco in March? Was the grass growing by that time?
