Rabbit eating turf

Looking through the archive here, seems there's no good way to get rid of rabbits in the lawn other than fencing. Was thinking of using a Motion Detector Sprinkler Animal Repellent.

Any opinion if this would work. Thanks.

Here is a link that might be useful: Motion Detector Sprinkler

Pet is not an option.

I cannot see how rabbits could possible eat enough to be of any concern? Anyway blood meal sprinkled around the perimeter will keep rabbits and prey animals away, plus a very green (or burnt) circle of grass around the perimeter.
