Did you plant individual sprigs into the ground or did you stolonize them?

The sprigs need to be rooted to the point that they can't be easily pulled out of the ground by hand. I assume they are putting on new top growth?
I did mine with bermuda so starting mowing 4 weeks after planting at a mowing height of 15mm.

My sprigs came from a fellow church member who has a substantial stand of centipede in his yard. We basically edged his driveway by taking a flat shovel and dug at an angle (about 45ð) toward the driveway from 4-5 inches out so that it was deep enough to capture enough of the roots to allow growing to start.

I know what is a stolon but I'm not sure about stolonizing. It sounds like you can grow centipede from a single stolon? If you can, I would like to know how.

I ended up doing the same as you with your bermuda. I watered them once a day if we did not get rain and waited about 4-5 weeks and then carefully mowed. It worked out fine.
