| Hello, these are pics of my lawn along the edge of our driveway.
1) Will the bare spots grow back or will I have to re-seed? 2) Also what is the moss like substance growing in between the grass? Is that good or bad. Any comments / suggestions welcome. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Where do you live? What kind of grass do you have? How often and how long do you water? When do you fertilize and with what? Have you used insecticide, herbicide, or fungicide in the past year? The moss is moss. It is a symptom of improper lawn care. |

| Might i suggest that you dig up all the rocks and replace the area with some good soil and then resod. I don't think seeding the area will be very effective at this time due to the fact that its has been so hot and the seed needs moist soil to germinate. Looking at the picture you can tell the grass is having a difficult time growing through the rocks. Also the rocks can become high speed projectiles when sucked up by your mower and will damage your mower blade. |

| 1) I live in Buffalo, NY. 2) Not sure what kind of grass it is, just moved into the place. I also asked the person who mowes my lawn, but he doesnt seem to know what kind of grass it is. I thought grass was grass..anyway will try to find out. 3) Watering has been for an hour each once a week in different parts of the lawn. 4) Is has only been hot for 2 weeks here and has started to get back to normal rainy summers again so have not watered recently. 5) I have not fertilized the lawn and was planning to do so in the fall. I am not sure what the previous owners have done. 6) I have not used insecticide, herbicide or fungicide. Again, not sure what the previous owners have done. thanks for the suggestion to re-sod, I will look into that as I have no idea what that even means. |
