Please tell me what kind of lawn this is.

I am trying to figure out what kind of lawn this is, and I would also like to obtain some care tips on it. The grass gets dry in the winter and greens up again in the middle to late spring when the weather gets warm and looks great in the summer. I have attached a few pics. Any help and advice will be helpful.
Thanks!

It is Zoysia grass, but it does not get dry in winter, it goes dormant.

Thank you for your responses. I also wanted to know if you had any tips on caring for this type of grass (fertilizing etc.)

There are lots of web sites that detail Zoysia Lawn Care. A excellent place to start is with your state or neighboring state AG department publications.

With that said Zoysia is fairly easy to maintain, but it does depend a bit on which variety you have and your looks like Z-52 aka Meyers.

The worse problem with Zoysia is it is a heavy thatcher and that is caused by over fertilizing. Zoysia only requires 2 pounds per 1000/ft2 of nitrogen per season. One application in spring after it has greened up and been mowed once or twice, and again 8 to 10 weeks later. If you live in some place like Florida or the Gulf Coast it can have a 3rd application in early fall.
