grub dilemma before seeding

Hello goodmorning i have a question i planting seed last fall here in hampton roads seed cameup good but when heatwave came here i noticed grass going brown well after i raked a arae i notice grubs well i got so angry about this andbasically i tore up yard were grubs were now im down to bare soil which is fine its only 600 ssqq ft my question what sould i do now maybe grub ex and then start to add organics to soil im going organic what to do please help thanx steve in hampton

If you had fewer than 12 grubs per square foot, then you could have left them alone.

Grubs only feed in the early summer so if you put the seed down in the fall again, the new grass should be good to go. Killing the grubs at this point would be a waste of money and time because you have no grass and they have stopped feeding.

Your grass was probably brown from simple dormancy due to the heat and dryness. Were you watering 1 inch per week?
