| I was wondering if anyone has tried Galaxy? I re-seeded last fall and couldn't have been more pleased, other than how long it took to take off. I love the fact that it grows so slowly. It's mowed at 1.75" and seems to do really well even in the high humidity. I would really like to see how it would do further north. Anyone north of KC have it? |

| The Galaxy blend does very well north of Kansas City. Actually Kentucky Bluegrass generally does better in the northern parts of the country, and both Kansas Cities (MO and KS) are at the lower range for KBG. Your grass looks great, but have you ever had a soil test? I suspect your grass would be darker if you raised the height of your mower a bit (2.25-2.5) and made sure your soil wasn't deficient in both macro and micronutrients. |
