| I plan on buying a Scotts drop spreader. Does anyone know how to convert the number on Scotts drop spreader to lbs per sq ft? So if I have to drop 2 lbs per 1000 square feet, what setting on the drop spreader is used? Or is there different spreader that is recommended that will give you lbs per sq ft settings? |

| No spreader will give you lbs per 1000 sq ft. Every fertilizer brand makes different size pellets that flow through at different rates. The major manufactures will have a conversion chart on their bags - eg use setting #7 on a scott's drop spreader. |
