I am interested in using this as a top dressing. It is $18/yard +delivery. Anyone have an opinion?

Why do you wan to do that? Are you having problems with your lawn?

Where do you live?
What is your watering schedule (frequency and duration)?
What kind of grass do you have?
How high/low do you mow it?
When were the last two times you fertilized and what did you use?

RE: Opinions on this compost soil report

I want to add some organic matter to my soil. I want to keep my lawn moist between waterings. The problem is that my lawn is a hideous mess of weeds and mystery grass that I plan on nuking and restarting.

I live in Concord, NC

Right now I have no watering schedule because mother nature has had an overzealous watering schedule. Otherwise it would be an inch a week all at once. After planting it will be 1/4" three times a day until I feel like I can back off.

I will be planting tall turf type fescue.

I always mow at the highest setting. I believe the highest that my mower can do is 3.5"

I have only fertilized once (I have been at my new home since April) with about 5 lbs/1000 sq ft of rabbit food two weeks ago. I plan on using some starter fertilizer and another 15 lbs/1000 sq ft of rabbit food.

I have no idea what I'm doing since this is my first lawn and I am going on others' advice. Feel free to be critical of my current plans.

Does anyone have an opinion on this soil report?

I welcome questions and opinions on other things too, but I'm most interested in the soil report.
