| So I started a new lawn late May and another one a few weeks later. Other than the battle with pythium, the lawns have fared fairly well. My one yard is about 16,000 sq feet The yard for the most part is thickening up and filling in well I have three areas totaling around 1000 square feet that just didnt grow, perhaps I didnt get enough seed down in these areas. Hence, I have lots of weeds in these areas.
So when I overseed the yard this fall, should I do something now to kill off the weeds? I dont want to kill my entire lawn but would be ok with putting roundup on these particular areas a week or so before overseeding Any risk of the roundup killing all the surrounding grasses? |

| Round-up needs to be applied to leaves to kill plants, so you can get some kill if it's windy. Applying on a calm day with a tank sprayer makes it pretty easy to limit any unintentional stand loss. |
