I recently purchased my home, and I'm new to taking care of a lawn. In the last week, I've noticed these spots forming all over my lawn, in the front and back. I live in the Pacific Northwest. The weather has been sunny and above 70 degrees F in the day and below 60 degrees F overnight for approximately four weeks.

The problem may be cause by a few things, and I'm hoping someone can help diagnose it. When I first moved in, I noticed webs forming over the grass about three inches in diameter. Now, in the evenings, there are small flying insects that jump when I walk through the grass. It may be these little critters that are the source of the problem, or it could be some type of fungus. Can I treat both problems at once, or do I need to treat the separately? Within these spots there are a few live shoots of grass, but most are completely dead.
