| I know there is a mower section, but I read that this is the group for reel mowers.
I picked up a ca 2005 20" McLane reel mower on the cheap. It needs some work, but all of the reel components are in good shape. I had to order a new belt for it and when I put it on, it seemed tight. The reel spun even with the clutch disengaged. So I'm wondering if the crankshaft pulley has been replaced so that the belt is always dragging tightly against the reel pulley even without the clutch engaged. So, I'm wondering if someone else with a similar model is able to measure their crankshaft pulley and tell me the approximate diameter of theirs. Maybe even take a picture or two of the arrangement so I can see how much slack there is supposed to be in the belt when the clutch is not engaged? |

| I think I got the wrong belt. I got a 19" and it would seem I need a 19.5". |
