Bermuda germination

I have over seeded my lawn it has some bermuda but mostly weeds. There are some little bermuda sprigs coming up here and there and I have been watering every day for about 30-40 minutes. My question is do I need to cut back on the watering or what should I do next?

No ramp up the atering and add a lot of fertilizer. You are a month or two to late to over seed with Bermuda in your area.

I'd like a little more explanation from TW on that suggestion.

Do you know how much water you apply in 30-40 minutes? Put some cat food or tuna cans out in the yard to measure how full they get in that time. If your soil is soggy, that's too much. Normally for new seed all you need is enough to moisten the soil at the surface. Normally that is 5 - 10 minutes, 3x per day, for 2-3 weeks.

Okay I will have to get some cans but I fertilized with 16-4-8 before I seeded and was wondering if it would hurt to put down some stronger nitrogen down now that I have over seeded? I have about 5k sqft and if I put down 24-0-0 how many pounds would I need? Thanks for the replies guys. I'm just having trouble with grasses that I don't want.

Anybody know if I can fertilize again? It was about 2 weeks ago. Can I fertilize again without hurting the new bermuda?

How often are you watering? Like said it should be 3-5 times a day. I would wait another 1-2 weeks for the fertilizer
