Used Milorganite on bermuda...

Seems that it made bermuda's color green darker after having received nice soaking rainfall. Next door's has lighter green color. I can't use regular synthetic fertilizer because they seem to promote more watering and I don't feel like watering grass every week anymore as trees are top priority now that we are in stage 2 (every Friday). I prefer to water whenever it's time to water which can be 10-14 days between watering to keep water bill down. Not only that, they seem to stress Shantung Maples more during hot weather.

We'll see how long it lasts for the green color assuming I get timely rainfall (yeah right).

Is it becuase of the additional iron? I'm going to put some down tomorrow on my Bermuda.

Not trying to say that this is/is not the reason for your lawn being greener than next door but with Bermuda the shorter you cut it the lighter green it will be. Milorganite will do the job though all else being equal.

Actually, it looks like we are both cutting at the same height (2 inches). Mine still has a darker green color compared to next door.

Rager, try it one one side and nothing on the other side to see if you can see the difference. I was just doing it for the fun of it to see how bermuda responds to it. It's looking pretty good right now.
