| We moved in to a new home about 2 months ago and the previous owner had burned/killed the grass along the driveway. I suspect it was from chemical fertilizer but don't know for sure. After reading, I am going to go organic with this lawn and wanted to know if my thinking is correct here.
I believe the grass is KBG so it should come back but if I rake the dead thatch up, seen in the pictures, re-seed and apply a layer of 1/2inch compost that will aid in the recovery? It has been a hot and dry summer here in IL but with heavy watering I have been able to bring this back somewhat or at least not made it worse. Around labor day I was going to fertilize with SBM then as well. |
