Brown Spot? Fungus? Bug Problem?

I have read similar posts on this. Seems to be somewhat common in humid spots. We have had a ton of rain recently (13.5" in June) and pretty hot and humid weather overall. I noticed these spots spreading recently and I'm not sure what to do about them. What is the proper treatment for this?

What kind of grass?
Your brown spots look like mine.

I'm not sure if its lack of water to those areas, fungus, or something else. My brown spots are all dead grass blades now. No hope in reviving the area. I'll just have to wait to seed the areas in the fall.

Does the turf pull up easily in those patches? Any grubs seen in the area under those spots?
