Trouble with a dying? lawn

Posted by doh102 none (My Page) on

Hello to all,

I was hoping someone might be able to identify the problem I am having with my lawn. I am in Western Michigan. Within the last month or so, I am getting small dead patches of grass. Bright green, then a small patch of yellow lawn. I will attempt to attach pictures in an effort to demonstrate the issue. Any ideas on the cause of the problem, along with the fix, would be greatly appreciated!

That is sclerotinia dollar spot. It can be controlled with a broad spectrum fungicide you can find at the big box stores or JDL/Lesco. Read the label to make sure dollar spot is included in the list of diseases controlled. You will need to apply repeat applications, 14 days apart. I handle commercial fungicides, so I'm not real familiar with the names of retail products in the stores. I'm sure one of these other cats can help you with the store product names.
