Grass color

My carpet grass is not as dark green as I would like, I applied rabbit chow on July 4 and water it 1 inch at a time once a week. What do I need to do to make it greener?

RE: Grass color

What sort of grass do you have. If you're in south Texas I'm guessing it's a warm season grass. You need iron. Try milorganite.

RE: Grass color

It's st Augustine flouratam carpet grass. Where would I find milogranite and how much do I apply?

RE: Grass color

I get it from either Ace or Home Depot. I believe the bag rate is 12 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.

RE: Grass color

Ok one more question, my grass is in full sun all day, even though I water one inch per week my grass looks a little wilted in the afternoons when I get home from work should I be watering more ?
