I think I have clovers and want to get rid of them

Hello,

I re-leveled my lawn earlier this spring and the grass has grown in my lawn ok except in one corner. I think it's clover (mixed up with the grass) and I want to get rid of it and have more grass grow in it's place. I guess since it's July now would not be a good time and I should wait till say mid August. How would I go about getting rid of this problem? I live in Quebec, Canada so they are a little strict with the chemicals... Do I pick them out by hand? Maybe you guys know a chemical I can use here in Canada? Maybe just remove that patch and just put sod? What do you all think?

Not sure of the laws in Canada, but the best chemical for that area is Weed B Gone Clover, Chickweed and Oxalis killer or anything with about 8% triclopyr. You have a fair amount of chickweed by the way. If this isn't available, and that is the only weedy area, then just pull the weeds by hand.

Thanks. I bought Weed B Gone by Scotts and sprayed it last night round 9pm. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to spray it so late in the evening so I applied it again today round noon. We'll see and thanks for your help!

I hope you used the Chickweed, Clover, and Oxalis killer, not just regular Weed B Gone.
