Virginia Fescue Project

I wanted to post some photos of my Fescue lawn here in Central Virginia. These photos are at the 10 month mark from seeding. This was a fun project and has paid off well. I do give a lot of credit to trolling through these forums and learning a lot! A special thanks to The Hogan Company for getting all of the cultivars I wanted.

I wish I had before pictures but it was atrocious.

All I did was follow the Virginia Tech Extension's guide for starting new lawns. Step by step, no shortcuts. Topsoil trucked in, soil tested, everything rounduped X 2, soil amended, seeded, irrigated at 1" per week if needed, fertilized per extension recommendations, mowed regularly, and fungicide program is a MUST.

I learned a lot going through this process and relied on the help of others so if I can be of any help... let me know. The transition zone is difficult place to grow grass.
