| Just wondering if anyone can tell what this might be. I was in a state park several weeks ago, and I went to take a grass blade sample, but a whole plant came up accidently. I decided to take a picture of it (sorry for the poor quality phone photo).
This stuff was growing in what appeared to be thin bunches, had a tip like bluegrass or ryegrass, had a midrib, was folded, and had saw-tooth leaf blade margins. It was a light grayish green. It wasn't growing very well in the shade of the pine forest. It appeared to unmowed, but was only 6-7 inches high. I was thinking it might be a type of bluegrass. Or maybe Buffalograss (which I've never seen before)? |
