Is this a good tall fescue blend?

I bought a bag of tall fescue today for my overseeding. This is suppose to contain the best cultivars for south central Kansas. Like to know your thoughts on this blend.

Rebel 4 Tall Fescue 19.91% 90% GERM
Traverse SRP Tall Fescue 19.90% 90% GERM
Wolfpack ll Tall Fescue 19.90% 90% GERM
Honky Tonk Tall Fescue 19.9% 90% GERM
LS 1200 Tall Fescue 19.6% 90% GERM
Weed Seed 0.00%

Those cultivars all did very well in your region in the NTEP trials. They also scored well in the Brown Patch trials.

If it gets tiemco's seal of approval, that is good enough for me!

LOL, I feel like I should be sending Tiemco a check in the mail or something. First he interpreted my Logans Lab soil report and now this.

I've used Rebel and Wolfpack. Rebel sucks. It yields a very thin, choloric looking lawn. Wolfpack is OK. My lawn may yield different results than yours.

The word you are looking for is "chlorotic", and it is a symptom of your yard and cultural practices, not Rebel IV tall fescue.

I've used Rebel II and Rebel IV on several properties, and have found it to be an excellent cool-season turfgrass in terms of color, density, growth habit, and overall appearance.

OK, so the Rebel looks crappy and another cultivar in the exact same spot under the same conditions looks great and your conclusion is it's an issue with my yard and cultural practices. That's some real scientific analysis.

I've only used Rebel TTTF as a single cultivar in a single monostand so I cannot say how it does in a cultivar blend. I know that it has performed very well under my management scheme.
