We're north of Boston and I'm trying to find a local source for around 100 pounds of the above.

Generally, yes--call landscapers and smaller garden shops. Many of them will order it for you at an entirely reasonable price.
I'll assume you have a soil test saying you need K, so I won't give you the lecture. K's pretty harmless anyway except in unbelievable amounts.
