| We completed construction of our new home in January and they laid down Bermuda sod. Once spring rolled around, the grass began growing and greened up pretty well for a yard laid in the middle of winter but in the last few weeks, the front yard is beginning to turn yellow in places.
My first reaction was that it wasn't receiving enough water seeing that we're in the middle of a huge heat wave here in OK with something crazy like 10 straight days of 100+ degree heat. But I increased my watering from once a week to once every two days but it really hasn't helped at all. My next thought was to fertilize again or add iron but at this point, I don't want to make the damage worse or completely burn up my yard. The last time I fertilized was in late June. The yard is mowed high once a week. I really just don't know what to do from here and any help will be really appreciated. |

| Looks like drought stress. You need to know how much water in inches, not minutes, you're putting out. If you were only watering 1/10" every watering, doing that amount even every day might not be enough in this heat. So we need to know how much you are currently watering in inches. In ground sprinkler system? |

| And NO fertilizer right now!!! Fertilizing a stressed lawn doesn't help. |

| This is easy to answer. Your grass is going dormant from th excessive heat and lack of water. Read my thread on Bermuda Grass Warning. |
