Dryness for sure by the pictures. You're sodding in the middle of the summer with a cool season grass, it is going to be a chanllenge in regard to watering and fungus.

Keep watering it, if Kentucky Bluegrass, it will come back and be nice and green again by the time Labor Day weekend rolls around...

I agree with auteck....u need to water the p!ss new sod and in the summer you are asking for trouble. You have to water deeply not just frequently.

Your landscaper will just say...not our fault,you didn't water enough. I laid sod last fall, perfect time. Summer is worst.

Watering too deeply will only slog up the soil and not allow air down into it. All the grass roots are in the sod, not deeper in the soil. You do; however, need to water frequently enough to keep the sod moist and the very top surface of the underlying soil. If that's what hogan meant, then I agree. You should be watering 3x per day for 10 to 15 minutes.

What are your daytime high temps running right now? Summer is ending for some parts of the country.

How was the soil prepped before the sod was installed?
