Need help identifying what i think is poa annua

There are a few possibilities. It could be poa annua, although the blades of poa annua are generally lighter green than KBG. Annua typically occurs in a defined bunch, but not always. It could be poa trivialis, but I doubt it, as triv is not a huge seed producer at lawn heights. Poa triv is also lighter in color than most KBG, and is stoloniferous. Although it's hard to tell from the pictures, I don't see any obvious light green blades. What you could be seeing is KBG seedheads. KBG can and does go to seed in the spring (typically), and is often mistaken for poa annua. Summer seeding is pretty rare, but the stress of harvesting sod might have caused some of your KBG to go to seed. If you don't see any blades that differ from the rest of your lawn, then this might be the cause.
