| hello all,
As with the rest of Long Island, we got walloped by the hurricane and as I live by the coast my yard was flooded with Brackish/Salt Water and covered for probably 8-12 hours. After the water has receded for a couple of days, the grass now looks like it is going brown and I am concerned about it dying. I turned the sprinklers on for a half hour after the water had receded and then the next day thinking the fresh water would dilute the salt but I also want things to dry up. Should I be watering more or refertlizing now? Any advice would be great as I dont want to lose the grass! Thanks |

| Everything it rains i see some houses here in NJ get totally flooded with water and their grass is immaculate. I would hit it with some fertilizer fast don't water anymore. see if that works! |

| It is a week later. What are you seeing in your grass? |
|
| There are spots that died completely and the majority is still brown but appears to have grown as the blades are tipped white where I am presuming the saltwater burnt. I am now wondering if I should fertilize? |
