 o
Wood Chips??

I was told that I could use that huge mound of wood chips as a fertilizer for the rest of my lawn, so I could level it out. I then read somewhere that those chips could inhibit growth. So who's right? those chips are a combination of root and stump.

The chips will add to your lawn's OM, but I think the decay process will suck N and you will need to supplement for that.

I'm hydroseeding, so I think I'm just going to remove it.

leveling

Based on what you see in the picture, how would you all suggest I go about leveling the yard once I remove the chips. The people day they leveled it, but it doesn't look like it to me. I let it go because they did do ALOT of work, and I knew he under quoted me. It took them 8 hours to grind out that entire tree. It was a 90ft tree stump, with huge roots that spread out a nice distance.

Anyways I want to level with proper drainage, but don't really know how to accomplish that. Right now yard level is higher than my patio, and the entrance to my yard is less than 5 feet, so no one will be able to get any bobcat back there. What do you suggest?
