 o
turf-type perennial ryegrass - false corwning?

A while ago I posted a picture of some grass that was false corwning. It was confirmed to be creeping bentgrass. Today, I pulled out several other sprigs of similar grass, and while most were indeed creeping bentgrass, a couple of them were actually not...they were the turf-type PR we planted last year. At first glance, they looked the same due to their shape, but close inspection revealed one was actually rye while the other was bent!

Is ryegrass known do the false corwning thing also?

No, PR isn't known to do that.
