Any guidelines, or helpful tips for calibrating a lawn spreader for putting down seed? I'm not sure the best way to go about it exactly. Are there tables online that can help users find appropriate settings for various spreaders (e.g. Scotts branded spreaders).

I know of now publishe guidlines for seed or for anything else realy. With fertilizers, the bag will have recommended settings for common spreaders. Seed is usually trial and error--for one thin seed has many different sizes and mixes can have a number of different sized seeds. One method is to measure out 1000sq ft of lawn and put what ever seed amount is suggested for 1k sq ft in the hopper and set the spreader at a low opening and do a run and then measure how much seed is left. If none is left, close the opening some , if some is left, open the opening more. Or just set the spreader at a low number and keep going over the lawn in different directions until the desired seed amount is used up.

Go to Google and type "walk-behind rotary spreader settings for grass seed" in the search box. If I remember correctly, you stated in a previous thread that you were going to use a walk-behind rotary spreader to apply your seed.
