Is a broadcast spreader ok for seeding, or does one have to use a drop spreader?

I prefer a broadcast, but if you have a lot of gardens and narrow areas a drop spreader might work better for you. Scott's makes one with an edge guard that works pretty well keeping seeds from flying out the side. Nothing wrong with a drop spreader however, so use whatever you prefer.

Just checking, b/c we have a broadcast spreader we bought last year when we seeded. It seemed a little hit or miss, but it will work.
