Natural Nonselective Herbacides

I want to kill all 7,000 sq. ft. of lawn before reseeding in a month. It looks like Phydura and Burnout II are about the same price to do such a large area. It comes to over $100. Does anyone have a home remedy that really works? It looks like these products' active ingredients are clove oil, citric acid and vinegar.

The only other thing I'm aware of is straight vinegar. You can get 20% vinegar from amazon... but I have no idea if it really works, or how much you would need.

Thanks. Yes, that looks like a good option.
