| Hi all. I've done my research and picked out the cultivars of Kentucky Bluegrass. I have fertilizer ready to go. The lawn was aerated this past week. There is rain in the forecast tonight!
So my question is, should I go ahead and drop the seed tonigbt, knowing that there are mid-90s in the forecast for the middle of the week and that I will be out of town Thursday through Sunday? Or, should i just mow and drop the fertilizer tonight and drop the grass seed next week?
Your advice on when to proceed is greatly appreciated. Donovan

| Well, that blows... I submitted this earlier, but it didn't actually submit. When I reloaded the page it asked if I wanted to resubmit the information and I clicked yes and NOW it shows up! LOL Oh well, the rain has started and it is now dark outside. Just got in from mowing to find out the previous message hadn't posted. Bah humbug! I'm thinking now, that I will put down the seed and starter fertilizer tomorrow evening. The soil will be wet from the rain and I will be able to get watering in Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There is another chance of rain Friday, and Saturday and Sunday should be only in the upper 70s / low 80s. I can water Sunday night and up through mid September every day from that point forward, so I should have almost 3 weeks of watering in to get the bluegrass germinated. Donovan |
