I just moved to the Dayton, Ohio area and I want to make sure I take care of my lawn. I'm not sure what kind of grass I have (bluegrass, Bermuda?). Any help is appreciated. The first picture is the front yard, and the next post will have pictures of the back yard.
Also, the front yard is pretty thin compared to the thick back yard. So for lawn maintenance, what would you recommend as far as fertilizing throughout the year (pre-emergent, summer, winterizer, etc.)? Also, what products would you recommend for weed control? Right now we have a few dandelions, some clover, and the white flowering weed you see in the last picture.

I'd like to avoid paying someone else to maintain the yard, so I'm trying to get educated. Thanks for the help!
