Tenacity

I'm in the process of getting ready to overseed my front lawn with a TTTF/KGB mix in early September here in NJ along the shore area. My front lawn is invaded by crabgrass right now. I have a soil test pending and I will post the results when I get it BUT my question is when to apply Tenacity before, during or after the overseed. Also the date - mid August, late August, early September ect...Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Tenacity

Apply Tenacity before seeding in order to get rid of the crabgrass so you can have a clean turf area.

Seed in labor day weekend.

Use a 85/15 Fescue/Blugrass mixture, if you have a lot of shade; seed with Fine Fescue instead.

Be sure to add surfactant and a three way herbicide if you have a lot of broadleaf weeds.

Can I apply a 2 4 D spray before I seed or will that inhibit or kill the seed too? I have a Spectracide brand 2,4 D sprayer unused.
