I hired a landscaping company for a sod installation and required that the sod type to be Meyer Zoysia. Afterwards, I found out he had installed a different sod grass - the invoice stated he had installed Jamur Zoisia instead of Meyer Zoysia I had requested. I am wondering what professional service can prove and provide the identification for sod installed?

You should have everything you need: A contract stating Meyer and an invoice stating Jamur. If you didn't have a written contract you've got a hard row to hoe. One of the warm grass folks can refer you to where you can get a visual I.D. Maybe your local extension office?

This landscaper singed me a Notory public 'contractor/mechanic lien waiver form' that specified the meyer zoysia I ordered, can I take this lien waiver as a contract?

Last post by me on this. Except for R.E., a valid contract can be oral, the usual problem that occurs with an oral contract is "hesaid/she said. That is why it is useful to have some supporting evidence of what was agreed to. I missunderstood what you where asking in your original post. After re-reading: If you can't tell the difference between the cultivars, you should get the grass identified. You may have gotten what you wanted and the invoice may just be an inccocent error.

I've already taken a sample of the grass to Pike's to be identified, and they seemed to be of the opinion the grass was not of the variety that I had wanted
