question regarding tttf and kbg overseed in progress.

So, I overseeded some areas with TTTF and KBG on Friday. I mowed low and thinned the existing lawn by about 25-35% first using core aeration and a verticutter to make sure to give the seed a chance. I also put my starter fertilizer on hold at least until the new grass is coming up. That way, the old grass doesn't take over and shade it out. I am also watering frequently and lightly to favor the seed.

The question is, how soon should I mow? In the past, I've always waited too long to mow new grass, but I know better now. tiemco recommends mowing the new TTTF when it reaches 3 in, and mowing it back to 2 in. But the KBG likely won't have germinated by this time. I don't want to suck up the seeds and displace them (using a rotary mowever).

And what about starter fertilizer? What is the absolute longest I can wait so as not to compromise the grass?

Finally, won't the foot/mower/spreader traffic hurt the seedlings?
