Please do let me know whats a good time to spread lime on lawn.

I intend to overssed in mid Sept - End October time frame. Would it be good to spread lime now. Request feedback. Thanks

Without a soil test you do not know exactly how much lime, if any, to apply to adjust your ph. Lime is typically slow to be absorbed into the soil to adjust the ph. Dolomite lime is not only very slow but also contains magnesium in it which you may not need (can have a negative impact) unless the soil test indicates so. Without a soil test you may want to consider using a calcitic fast acting lime (no magnesium) at bag rate. Pennington Fast Acting Lime is one example of a calcitic lime product and is a good choice.
