| New homeowner here and I need some help indtifying my grass. Please see the image below. Also, is it normal to have such a long stem of brown grass. After pulling out a lot of brown grass when raking I thought I had a thatch problem, but upon closer inspection there doesn't seem to be a layer of dead grass on the dirt. It appears the brown grass is all coming from the stems.

| Personally I don't think that is turfgrass, looks like a weed to me. |
