Used vinegar on lawn for weeds brown patches.....help

As the subject says there are now brown patches.....i should have done a test run. Anyway,are my options just to re seed or will throw back over time. How long should this take. I used10percent vinegar....had no idea it would so strong.
Any help appreciated.

Vinegar will kill weeds, but it's a nonselective herbicide (as you learned) and will kill everything.

What kind of grass do you have and how big are the brown patches?

I am not sure what kind of grass- it maybe a cool season grass. The patches are 12 inches diameter about 5-6 and one long patch about 4feet length and 12 inches in width. I will post pics soon.

I'm going to guess that you've got a standard cool season lawn mix, which should include a fair amount of KBG. If that's so, the bare spots should fill in just fine.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes upon close inspection, only the top part of the grass is brown, there is lots of green below and in between. So I am guessing it will be fine in 10-15 days. And for the rest of the areas, with permanent damage I will re-seed.
