| couple questions, I am planning on bringing in a couple yards of top soil next week sometime and fixing a large section of lawn that used to be under a tree and general leveling aroundthe property.. I have been at this house for 4+ years and never really started taking care of the lawn until I killed a couple large patches by not picking up the leaves that I blew in a huge pile.. so it hasn't been thatched or aerated in that time, and only been fertilized with weed and feed once last spring.. Should I just lay the top soil and plant the seed and wait till next spring to aerate and thatch or should I do it first and lay seed next week? help on the order would be great..
thanks.. |

| Put down the top soil. Stomp it down, level it, etc... . Leave a little behind. Put down the seed. Cover the seed about 1/8" with the left over top soil. I don't think you'll need to aerate or dethatch in the spring. it's too soon after planting. |
